PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

Competition Rules

1. You are limited to one entry per category, each meeting.
2. Photos entered in the competition can be film or digital, up to A4 in size.
3. All entries are to be unmatted and unframed.
4. An entry can not be a winner from a previous Club competition.
5. One point is awarded for each photo entered, 5 points for the winner, 3 points for 2nd place and 2 points for 3rd place.
6. Everyone attending the meeting votes on the entries - the entry with the most votes is the winner.
7. At the end of the year, points are tallied to determine overall winners.
8. The competition themes for the following year are chosen by all present at the December meeting.

The competition theme each month is open to interpretation - be creative and have fun!

From the Desk

Our photography club is open to anyone with an interest in photography - you don't have to be a student to attend. There are no membership fees and we meet on the first Friday of the month (except January) at 7:30pm. We endeavour to have a guest speaker at each meeting, and a photo competition. We also have a number of club outings throughout the year.

Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker for the July meeting will be Paul Mayo. Paul is an Astrophotographer who takes amazing images of our night skies. He is back by popular demand.

Photo Competition

We are continuing with two competitions at each meeting. One competition is the theme for the month, and the other competition is "open" - enter your favourite shot.
